Career Coaching — Module 1

Know who you are.
Own what you’re worth.
Most senior professionals find it remarkably difficult to articulate the value they bring — not their job titles, not their responsibilities, but the distinctive combination of who they are and what they uniquely deliver. Module 1 changes that.

Duration
2–3 weeks
Sessions
Discovery + 2 formal sessions + wrap-up

Approximately 4 hours
Most people lead their career conversations with what they’ve done — the firms they’ve worked for, the titles they’ve held, the responsibilities they’ve managed. That is not your value. That is your history.

The professionals who consistently win the right opportunities are those who can speak with clarity and conviction about who they are, what they have genuinely built, and the specific impact they create. That combination — personal brand, professional brand, and articulated value — is what Module 1 develops. Not as a set of talking points, but as a deep and honest understanding of yourself, one that shows up naturally and compellingly in every conversation that matters.

What we build together

Three Pillars. One Coherent Narrative.
The three components of Module 1 are not independent exercises. They are cumulative — each one building on the last, converging into a narrative that is distinctly yours and unmistakably credible.

01
Personal Brand
We begin with who you are — your values, your ways of working, the cultural environments that bring out your best, and the ones that quietly erode it. Your personal brand is the foundation from which everything else is built. Most people’s understanding of it has blurred over years of career momentum and compromise. We bring it back into focus: your motivations, your non-negotiables, your leadership style, and the formative influences that still shape how you show up every day. This is also where we surface the watch-outs — the patterns and tendencies that, left unexamined, can undermine even the strongest candidacy.

02
Professional Brand
This is far more than a career summary. We go deep into the competencies you have actually built — the technical skills, the leadership skills, the ways of working that have produced results across different organisations and contexts. We identify the patterns in your career: what you have consistently been drawn to, where you have created real impact, what makes you effective in ways that others in your field may not be. We connect these directly back to your personal brand, so the picture that emerges is coherent — not a list of credentials, but a portrait of how and why you deliver.

03
Value
The third leg of the stool — and the one most people cannot articulate without prompting. Your value is the specific, tangible answer to the question every hiring organisation is really asking: why you, over everyone else? We build your capability to answer that question with conviction and precision. Not a generic pitch, but a clear statement of the impact you create — the outcomes you drive, the problems you solve, the contribution that sets you apart. This is what lands in a room. This is what gets remembered.

How it works

The Program of Work
Module 1 is structured to be intensive without being overwhelming. The work is spread across 2–3 weeks, allowing time for genuine reflection between sessions. You commit approximately 4 hours across the program; I commit 6–7 hours of preparation, session work, and follow-up writing. After each session you receive a written summary report — not a transcript, but a coaching document that captures observations, psychological insight, and homework to carry the work forward.

Before we begin

The Discovery
A structured set of questions sent ahead of Session 1. Designed to turn your mind to the territory we’ll explore — values, motivations, cultural preferences, career reflections. You don’t need perfect answers. You need starting points.

Session 1

Personal Brand
We explore who you are: what energises you, what you value, how you work, and the career experiences that have most defined you. I will ask the questions most people don’t ask themselves. You will leave knowing things about yourself you hadn’t quite articulated before.

Session 2

Professional Brand & Value
We move from who you are to what you do — and how you do it. We work through your competencies using real examples from your career, beginning to draw out the value narrative that will anchor your next opportunity conversations.

Close out

Wrap-Up & Review
A final session to review the complete picture, pressure-test the narrative, and ensure you can articulate it clearly and naturally. You leave Module 1 ready — for Module 2, or for the conversations that matter most.

What you walk away with

Tangible Outputs. Lasting Clarity.
A written summary report after each session
Not notes. A coaching document — written directly to you, offering observation, insight, and the homework that bridges one session to the next. Many clients return to these reports well beyond the program.

A clear, owned narrative of your personal brand
The values, ways of working, and cultural preferences that define you — articulated with the kind of precision that makes them genuinely useful in interviews, career conversations, and moments of decision.

A professional brand grounded in real competency
An honest, transferable view of what you have built across your career — framed around skills and impact, not job descriptions. The foundation for everything that follows in your search.

The language to articulate your value
Most people know they have something to offer. Module 1 gives you the specific, compelling language to demonstrate it — so you don’t have to hope the other person figures it out for themselves.

“Most people are unable to define the value they can deliver through the competencies and skills they have built. They index on what job they’ve been in and what their responsibilities were. We change that.”

Module 1 is the starting point for most of the clients I work with — and for good reason. Everything that follows, whether that’s your resume, your job search strategy, or your interview preparation, is stronger when this foundation is in place. If you’re at a career inflection point and want to approach it with clarity and conviction, let’s talk.
